An industrial automation system that converts geometric data from a custom CAD application into automated robot motion, reducing manual programming requirements.

01

Challenge

Programming different surface processing scenarios manually with operator or joystick input was slow, difficult to repeat and unsuitable for parametric manufacturing.

02

Engineered system

A custom conversion layer was built between the CAD environment and the KUKA robot. Geometric data becomes an automated toolpath and then executable KUKA KRL instructions, connecting physical manufacturing directly to a digital workflow.
